Purpose of Unit


The purpose of this unit is for the students to apply the knowledge of chemistry concepts learned in class to a chemical reaction that affects his/her every day life. This unit will give the students a deeper understanding of how chemistry works in their every day life. Virtual Fieldtrip is a starting point for students to become an "expert" concerning a chemical reaction of their choice, which affects them every day. The outcome will be a student presentation of his/her expertise covering a chemical reaction that interests him/her.
